At Chrono-Nautical, I value your privacy. This page will explain Chrono-Nautical’s privacy practices.

First of all, please note that this policy applies only to pages in Chrono-Nautical. This website will often link to pages in other websites, which have their own privacy practices. Browsing those other sites is subject to their respective policies. Additionally, the privacy policy of this website may be modified at any time without notice. Modifications are made in order to more clearly state information and/or to reflect changes in this website’s privacy practices.

I really wish I could say that this website doesn’t collect any personal data. Unfortunately, that’s not entirely true. In the vast majority of cases, when you visit a website, your IP address — a number that uniquely identifies your computer in the Internet — is logged. Most website setups, including the one that I purchased, do this by default. As much as I would like to disable this default behavior, doing so would require for me to upgrade to a significantly more expensive website setup, which I can’t afford right now. That means that your IP address is logged. For the same reason, your browser (technically, your user agent string), the referrer (the website that brought you here), and the times you accessed Chrono-Nautical pages are logged.

Fear not, though. That collected information is not visible to anyone but myself. No tracker networks or ads have access to it. And I never look at the logged information, anyways. Your data is safe.

Aside from info that external “vendors,” like Google Fonts, might store, Chrono-Nautical itself does not store any information on your computer. And, aside from the information laid out earlier, this website does not collect any information from you unless you figure out a way to intentionally give it to me.

Essentially, this website is — and always will be — creepiness-free.
